A Pharaoh's Promise by GLRoberts

I was sentenced to sixty years as a slave after the Egyptian army overtook my village. I spent months painting his image on the stone walls and hearing of his greatness. Then one day the Pharaoh saw me and changed my life forever. He finally has his heir to the dynasty and he can now have what he truly wants. I can't believe he chose me...

**I'd just love to see a story of mutual adoration. The Pharaoh has waited his whole life to love a man like this, and the former slave's life was a dead end before he was saved.**

Photo Description: Two men—one a slave, the other a Prince of Egypt—share a tender moment in the shade of a Temple. Both men gaze at the other as if they were alone in a world of their own choosing and not hindered by the judgment of others.

This story was written as a part of the M/M Romance Group's "Love is Always Write" event. Group members were asked to write a story prompt inspired by a photo of their choice. Authors of the group selected a photo and prompt that spoke to them and wrote a short story
